About This Course

Essentials for Academic Presentations is an intensive introductory workshop for Universidad de Chile graduate students who wish to improve their delivery of academic oral presentations in English. It will be offered online and students will progressively apply the knowledge gained in each module to create an oral presentation, which they will share with the rest of the class in the final module.

Course Staff

Francisca Morales

Francisca Morales holds a B.A. in English Linguistics from Universidad de Chile and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University. Since 2007, she has taught languages at different universities, including Columbia University, CUNY, and Universidad de Chile, where she is currently Academic Coordinator of the Graduate English Program.

She has presented her work at local and international conferences and was recently elected Secretary of TESOL Chile for the 2020-2021 term.
